Above, President Diane Strickler and Vice President Paul Rentenbach, who were among 10 Grosse Pointe Rotarians and spouses who attended the 2013 conference May 2-4 at Nemacolin resort in Pennsylvania, presented the awards at the club's May 6 luncheon meeting.

The first-place Archer Award was in recognition of the ongoing four-club Operation Warm coat drive led by Mike Carmody, Grosse Pointe Rotary executive secretary District 6400 Area 1 assistant governor. The Community Service Award was in recognition of most effective Rotary information for new members.

Below, Grosse Pointe Rotary Communications Committee Chair John Minnis holds the prestigious Devlyn Public Image Award trophy. It was the first time the Grosse Pointe club had won the prestigious award and first time any club has won award with a "perfect" score. John chaired the Committee withmembers Mark Wilson and Robert Louis Ferdinand  to publish articles in a variety of newspapers; populate the Club website and fill the Club Facebook page. Rotary of Grosse Pointe (accepting the award at the Conference) keeps possession of the Devlyn trophy until next year's district conference May 8-11 at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
