On November 4th, Lynn Gadzinski’s shared her journey on navigating life and how important it is to appreciate the little things around you.

Lynn Gadzinski’s story is a remarkable reflection of dedicated craft, lifelong perseverance, and deep personal passion. Growing up in a close-knit, hardworking blue-collar family in the lakeside community of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, she was raised with a strong foundation of stability. Her home state left a lasting imprint on her, shaping her appreciation for its vibrant culture, great food, and sports traditions.

Lynn had attended the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a degree in electrical engineering, followed by a master’s in manufacturing automation—setting the stage for an extraordinary professional journey.

For 30 years, Lynn poured her talents into General Motors, building a career within advanced manufacturing and engineering. From evaluating technology in Worldwide Purchasing to putting robots into action and keeping massive machines running across plants from Ohio to Kansas and Tennessee, her career was defined by immense drive. Her leadership eventually led her to manage metal assembly operations and support high-intensity assembly plants, working round-the-clock schedules with endless travel. Through it all, her discipline extended well into her personal pursuits, even earning a black belt in karate at age 42.

When she reached 52, Lynn embraced a well-earned retirement, opening up a whole new chapter dedicated to family, creativity, and exploration. Today, she fills her time with quilting, knitting socks, gardening, and finding creative ways to cook green tomatoes.

Some of her favorite things include time-traveling podcasts, historical stories, and reading her favorite series, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Most importantly, retirement has granted her the freedom to spend unstructured time with her mother and traveling with her son.

Though she has navigated personal grief with the loss of her older son, Lynn continues to find joy and connection in the everyday, keeping up with the daily Wordle challenges while keeping in connection with her sisters.

Through it all, and the accomplishments Lynn has made in her life, she has claimed that her proudest achievement is close to her heart: raising her children.  Lynn has demonstrated strength, warmth, and relentless curiosity, ultimately leading her to have lived a fulfilling life.

We thank Lynn for taking the time to share a little bit about her backstory and giving an insight in how important it is to appreciate the little things, especially when it comes to spending and appreciating the time with your family.
